"Got this feather here... only... uh... 2000 gold? I swear it's from an angel." - Alane Magee
You have three options. Your best best is to hit the magic button and fill out a google form. If you found me on Roll20, shoot me a message there. Otherwise, shoot me a message on Discord @Quintonhogshead. (QuintonHogshead#3092 if ya wanna friend me.)
Please hit the magic button, it will take you to a google form. You will be eventually asked to fill out this google form. Your application will be taken under higher consideration if comes from the google form, and all players will be asked to fill it out. Please send me a discord or Roll20 message afterwards, just to go over everything.
I charge $15 a session for all my games currently running. I'm always open to more tips!
If money is an issue, I'm not an idiot. I know times are hard right now, and sudden expenses to happen. If you talk to me, I'm sure that we can work something out.
Pay me before or after the session, I don't care.
"Quinton is the best DM I've ever had. It's clear he has a passion for world building and his players, balancing both perfectly into one addictive gaming experience. It's my favorite part of the week. I'll be holding on to memories from his campaign my entire life."
"Even though playing in this campaign was my first go at D&D, I am absolutely certain that Quinton was and will continue to be the greatest DM I’ll ever have. It was about two months in after I found out he wrote several lengthy NPC journal entries that the awe really kicked in, and that’s just the beginning. The amount of effort he puts into this campaign is inspiring and downright incredible, from all the short stories to the crazy-detailed lore. It’s no surprise to me that he’s an English major and has already written two books; he’s an absolute master at story writing and world building, and I would recommend you play in one of his campaigns in a heartbeat."
"9/10 needs more crusades."
"The written campaign is richly imagined, creative and full of compelling characters that are brought to life by the DM's attention to detail in their creation and portrayal during RP. His style of running the game emphasizes fun as much story, and creative combat rounds out what was a great player experience."
The Convergence has been an entertaining and enthralling experience. With a world that the DM has designed to be ongoing and to be utilized at the will of the players, I experienced freedom of choice in a malleable environment and without ever feeling that there was a wrong choice, just different outcomes that either were more desirable or resulted in greater challenges to come. The DM has a wide array of lore and existing characters that he wields to help characters grow as well as make them question the world they once thought they understood. Our party felt casual in approach rather than stiflled by "roles" and it allowed the players to enjoy our time with each other in The Convergence more than expected. I would welcome the opportunity to continue rolling an obscene number of 1s in The Convergence.
My players are my friends. As a nerd who lives in a house full of jocks, I'm available all the time. Ever want to chat for a few hours about how your character bakes eldritch bread? Sure! Want to talk about anything? Let's go. Want a one-on-one session to really get to know yourself? I'm down.
If I haven't already told you a a few dozen times, I'm currently working on my third novel. This is not to say that running a D&D campaign and writing a book are the same thing, but I have thousands of hours of experience crafting plot hooks and fleshing out a world. Only now, it's you guys who write the story.
With 7 years of theater experience, both on stage and on camera, I know how to breathe life into my characters.
I try to keep combat at quick and slimmed down as possible. Roll20's character sheets are amazing, and a super useful tool, but anything beyond that - blood effects - can clog up the game. Especially with the slow-down due to SARS-CoV-2, anything we can do off Roll20 speeds up the game. Not to say I don't use these features, just that I don't uses them every time. I perfer my maps to be simple, but well thought out.
I play Dungeons and Dragons as a game about a story, not a wargame. I have absolutely nothing against wargames, I love them too, it's just that's not my style of DMing. Expect more rewards from talking than from fighting.
Welcome to the Convergence
