"Did you really duel Quarion Spider to a standstill?" - Ophelia Arcanaborn to Audry Brightwing
(Closed to starting players) The Soul-Wardens were a group of divine warriors who dedicated their lives to fighting against Tenebris and Nuwe in general. They were broken up into 6 sub-factions: The Three Riders, The Messengers, The Raven Cloaks, The Daywalkers, The Nightwalkers and The Ward Guardians. Almost all were killed when Tenebris returned, although the few survivors have been working to rebuild the order. Famous Soul-Wardens include:
"I don't care. That's not our God. That's something else. I can see that now."
- Jageen the Shadowfang
(Closed to starting players) The Shadowcast are the mirror of the Soul Wardens, but work for Nuwe against Huwe. They’re much less numerous and much less organised than their fallen compatriots, and played a much smaller role in global politics. They were wracked with Civil War during The Unmaking, with about 10% of the Shadowcast staying true to Nuwe, and the other 90% following Tenebris. Quarion Graywing managed to win the war turning most Shadowcast against Tenebris in the last minutes of the battle for Alvorn. Most perished in the flames of their own hubris. Famous Shadowcast include:
"Ten liches? Sure, no problem." - Aaron Dragonlight
(Closed to starting players) This band of mercurial assassins is known for only taking contracts on mages. They are incredibly expensive, secretive in the extreme, and brutally effective. A contract made will always be honored. Soul-Thieves almost always only hunt wizards who are falling to their worst arcane exesses, and harming those around them. It is rumored that a single Soul-Thief is capable of killing a lich and their entire army in less than a minute, although those might just be greatly exaggerated. There are no publicly known Soul-Theives.
"Really? Invisibitch? That's the best you could come up with?" - Gia Spider
This criminal syndicate is only whispered of in the shadows. It is not so much a functioning guild, but rather a grouping of every bandit clan and petty highwayman across the Convergence. Famous Invisible Palm members are rumored to include:
"He should get ass cancer." - Zacrimar the Dragonsire, of Bren Arcanaborn
A century-old bloodline, the family of arcanists lives up to their name. Though the secret of their power is known perhaps only to those in the family, their sprawling organisation isn’t limited to just mages. Soldiers, spies, assassins and mercenaries all work for the elder Arcanaborn. Famous members include:
"Why do you think I wear this cape, hmm?"
- Klaus Fredrick
Almost nothing is publically known about this group of bodyguards, save for their feud with the Soul-Thieves. There are no publicly known Blaue Messer.
"Chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions." - Rene Furgrove
One of the few truly good organizations left these days, the sole purpose of the hospitallers is to heal the sick and injured, regardless of faith, nationality or race. They are the clerics and acolytes of Gambet the savior, and shun all material possessions, focusing only on healing those they can. In recent days, their numbers have been pressed thin, as constant wars since The Unmaking have sapped their strength. Famous Hospitilars include:
"Have you heard the word of the good Lord... We haven't really decided who that is yet." - Ro'kog Skyweaver
The sprawling religious organisation founded by Grog’dor and Ro’Kog Skyweaver in the ashes of The Unmaking, this crusade started against Tenebris, but has since grown to encompass all those who worship Nuwe, breaking many of the truces and stalemates formed in the aftermath of The Unmaking. Worshipers of Huwe above all else, many members of the good crusade now have little contact with either of the leaders, and local fanatics have adopted the name to suit whatever doctrine they wish to impose. Still, true followers of the Good Crusade, are plentiful and well armed to make sure their sworn enemies never return. Famous Members include:
"Rise again." - Zariel
Controversial in the extreme, this organisation is composed of reformed evil-doers who seek penitence and the ability to do right. They are often given suicidally difficult missions by their betters, but if they survive, it is expected that they will return to a welcoming society, their sins expunged. How true that is, remains to be seen. This faction was founded by the ex-arch-devil Zariel after she was returned to her angelic form. Famous members include:
