"My brother is... rather unlikable." - Ciel Stardancer
You may use any D&D Sourcebook, UA content, or Critical Role content. No homebrew, simply because it’s too hard for me to keep track of all the rules. That being said, you can reflavor to your heart's content.
Modified Standard Array: We are using standard array. Drop the 12. If your hit die is a D6,
place a 12 in Con. If your hit die is a D8, place a 13 in Con. If your hit die is a D10, place an 15 in Con. If your hit die is a D12, place a 17 in Con. You may lose proficiency in a skill of your choice to gain proficiency with firearms, if it would fit your background. If you would later gain proficiency with firearms, you instead regain proficiency in this skill.
Racial ASIs: Remove all racial ASI benefits and penalties. Instead, all characters gain a +2 to any score and a +1 to any score, in addition to their racial traits. Humans instead get 2 +1s and a feat. You may not improve constitution with your racial ASI.
You may take feats. You may not take the Alert, Tough, Lucky, Sentinel, Sharp Shooter, Great Weapon Master or Elven Accuracy feats. While I see these feats as overpowered, they are banned mostly because they are boring.
You may use any available WotC class, as well as the Bloodhunter class. You may use any WotC race.
You gain starting equipment as detailed by the player's handbook, determined by your background and class. Additionally, you may choose either one common magical item, a pistol, and 30 lead bullets, or a Skyshot pistol and 15 Skyshot bullets.
When creating a character, you have a new creation selection open to you. If you wish, you may give your character a touch of insanity. These are very powerful abilities that come with a serious flaw. These should be character defining traits, so please adapt them to your background heavily. Some flaws are not as explicit, and will not affect the mechanical play of your character as much, but rest assured, they are very punishing. You may only have one touch of insanity.
